Privacy Policy

AnswerCove provides an AI receptionist service for businesses. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers both the businesses that use AnswerCove and the people who call them.

Information we collect

From businesses

When you create an account we collect your name, email, business name, and the details you choose to set up, such as your hours, location, services, and FAQs. If you subscribe, payment is handled by our payment processor, Stripe, and we do not store your full card details.

From callers

When someone calls a business that uses AnswerCove, we process the call so the AI can answer. This may include the caller's phone number, the content of the conversation, and any message they ask us to pass on, such as a name, callback number, and reason for the call.

How we use information

  • To answer calls, take messages, and deliver them to the business in its dashboard.
  • To send the business a notification that a new message is waiting. This alert contains no caller or business details.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the service.
  • To process subscriptions and provide support.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run AnswerCove, such as our cloud hosting, our voice platform, our AI provider, and our payment processor, and only as needed to provide the service. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention

We keep call records and messages for as long as your account is active so you can review your history, and for a reasonable period afterward unless you ask us to delete them. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

Security

Messages live in the business's private dashboard, accessible only with its login. Notification emails are deliberately content free. We use industry standard measures to protect information, though no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

Your choices

Businesses can update their information in the dashboard, cancel at any time, and request access to or deletion of their data. If you are a caller and want a message removed, contact the business you called, or reach out to us and we will help.
